LIFT 4 Autism Frequently Asked Questions

1. Where do I find the auction?

Browse all the amazing items up for bid here: The 2024 auction site will be available soon!

You must register to be able to bid. The catalog for auction items will open for viewing on Monday, April 1, 2024This year’s official auction dates are Monday, April 22, at 8 a.m. EST through 5 p.m. EST on Sunday, April 28, 2024.

2. Why do I have to register to bid?

The system collects your contact information so if you are the winning bidder, you can be automatically alerted by email that you have won and your information can easily be provided to the donor who will be shipping the item you won.

3. Is the auction international?

The auction is open to everyone, but each item is tagged as DOMESTIC or INTERNATIONAL because the donor has indicated their shipping preferences. Please read carefully. If you are outside the US, make sure you are not bidding on an item that is US only shipping. The donor will not be asked to honor that, and the item will go to the next highest bidder with a domestic address.

4. When does the auction go live?

The auction will be LIVE and open for bidding Monday, April 22, at 8 a.m. EST through 5 p.m. EST on Sunday, April 28, 2024.

5. How do I win?

The winning bid is the highest bid posted when the auction closes on Sunday. We will give winning bidders until Tuesday to pay for their items. Any items not claimed/paid for by Tuesday, will default to the next highest bid.

6. How do I pay?

Winning bidders will be notified by email through the system that they had the highest bid. A link will be provided in that email to process your transaction by credit card or PayPal.

7. Is my payment tax-deductible?

LIFT 4 Autism will not send any bidders statements of donation. The winning bid payment is a transaction in exchange for goods, BUT all payment is made directly to Kulture City through the LIFT donation page. You will receive an email automatically from Kulture City indicating you have made a donation. You may use that for your records should you choose.

8. How do I get the item I won?

Donors are notified through the system once the winning bidder pays. Since all bidders have to register, that donor will receive contact information, including mailing address, for the winning bidder and is responsible for shipping the items they donated.

9. What if I do not receive it?

We ask all donors to notify the winning bidder directly if there will be a delay. Communication after the transaction should be handled primarily between the donor who is shipping the items and the winning bidder, but if you are having trouble of any kind receiving the items, please contact us at [email protected].

10. Who benefits from the LIFT Auction?

Each year, the LIFT team selects a national organization serving the autism community as our charitable partner. Kulture City will direct proceeds from the 2024 auction to provide resources for autistic individuals and their families. Learn more about their mission and impact at kulturecity.org.

***If there are any questions not addressed here or you run into problems, please email us at [email protected] instead of messaging individual LIFT team members. This streamlines and centralizes all of our communication so we can more effectively help you.
